Ahoy Friends!

We’ve completed 24 Riddle of the Sands Adventure Club podcasts (available for free on riddleofthesands.net, Soundcloud & iTunes), and, with your help on Unbound.co.uk, we’ve raised 50% of the funds required to produce a beautiful Handbook, a ‘field’ audiobook and a month long online adventure.
We’ve produced a draft chapter of the Handbook, a sampler of the audiobook, video & audio clips from our 3-day scouting mission through the Kiel Canal and created a blog with over 100 posts and over 250 comments. All this for free!
But now it’s time for us to concentrate on raising the other 50% of the money on Unbound.co.uk, and we need your help.
PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR UNBOUND PLEDGE TARGET
If you haven’t pledged your support, please consider doing so now. If you have already pledged your support (thank you!), please let your friends, family and work colleagues know about what we’re doing and persuade them to come on board.
You can follow @rotscarruthers and @rotsdavies on Twitter and RT our tweets, and share the posts on our The Riddle of the Sands Adventure Club Facebook page. Do also feel free to share our short promo video on YouTube:
The link to our funding page is: https://unbound.co.uk/books/riddle-of-the-sands
Just to remind you, a pledge of just £25 gets you:
a copy of the Handbook that will contain the text of Erskine Childers’s classic spy novel, organised by date and location, plus all the notes, annotations, observations and maps that come out of our own adventure, travelling through modern Germany in September & October following the route of the novel’s heroes – Carruthers & Davies.
a field audiobook of the original novel, the full text read out in the actual locations of the book and enlivened by field recordings and sound effects captured during our trip through Germany.
a 2-month online adventure during September & October, with Lloyd notDavies & Tim notCarruthers replaying the novel out in the field, streaming live readings from the book and offering daily reports and video Hangouts, so you can have an adventure without ever leaving your desk or getting out of bed.
For £80 you can have all of the above and come to an Adventure Club launch party, where we’ll make sure that much of the food and drink mentioned in the book is available for your delectation and delight.
We need to reach our funding target by the end of June, or we won’t have time to organise the trip in September & October. So please do help us in any way you can.
If everyone who’s already pledged persuaded two other people to join us, we’d be pretty much there, and the Adventure Club Handbook would become a reality.
Many many thanks for all your support and contributions so far. If you have any questions about the project, do get in touch. We love hearing from you.
Lloyd notDavies and Tim notCarruthers.
