Last Sunday I joined in a walk devised by gonzogeographer Gordon Joly on a route partly inspired by the fact that Arnold Circus is celebrating its 100th birthday.(There was a a brass band playing celebration! Huzzah!)
Here is a picture of me and Gordon with splacist Paul Conneally at Arnold Circus where I was introducing them to the subtle pleasures of the now semi-dormant #golfonthemoon project:

Gordon is calling the walk ‘the Gonzo Trail Number One’, but for me it is effectivey hole 2 of the moongolf practice course I am over time designing here on earth in preparation for my ultimate mission (although we seem to be teeing off from a longer ‘gentlemens’ tee this time).
It’s clear that budding astronauts do have to prepare with a lot of simulations here on earth before going into space for real – take this guy for instance – and I am no different. Here’s a video commemorating our efforts:
